After a while....

Haven't been blogging for so long.. Kinda almost forgot tt I've got a blog actually! So awfully tied down at work,gym and catching up with frens.

OT till 11pm last night and slept till abt 12pm today. Haven't slept enough since CNY's eve. Finally caught some beauty's sleep. But missed gym. Bummer!

For pple who read my blog, may think my blog's getting boring.. Just talking abt work,bf and frens. I don't have as much juicy blog entries as other bloggers, i reckon. Tonned down my social life quite a bit. Work's partially the reason, i guess.. =)

Davis, how are u doing back in Australia? Lora, how are you babe?! Shu wen babe,hope all's working out for you fine. =) hmmm..... miss all my dear frens who i used to be close to but haveb't been meeting up with. Everyone's so busy.. tke care anyway,yep? *hugs*

Welcoming the new yr can't be more perfect than with ur loved one. And i did. With my dearie. It's been a great one yr with my dearie and dear.. "U are the best! Muacks! " =)

Been soooooo busy lately but managed to catch up with my best friend, Davis recently for a quick lunch during a work day. He travelled down to Raffles place to meet me. Nice to meet him after so long. Caught up.. and this dude is working in UBS as an intern. Lucky ass! Lol! But I'm happy for him.. =)

On Friday,finally met up with Trina & Tracey despite everyone's hectic work schedule. I've not met these babes in like ages. All of us have been so busy with work every since we got into the working world. But they are still my close frens nonetheless. Ate backed rice and mudpie @ NYDC and had a long talk at BK after dinner...

Tracey told us something shocking which i never thought tt wld ever happen. But Tracey, i hope all the best for you. Just wanna u to be happy. Trina, hope u and Robin will be together for a looonnngg time. *hugs tightly* =) tke care, u gals.. meet up soon..

Splendid Christmas~~!!

It's been a few weeks since i last blogged. 
Work's been piling up and i'm way over my head. 
It's been hectic and fast paced tt when i get back hm,i just don't hve mood for anything.

However, i would rather be bz anytime then to slack ard in office.
The hectic reporting is going to commence next week on 2nd Jan while everyone is still enjoying
their hols... Hmm...

Sm frens thoughtI've forgetted them coz i've not really been in contact with them much.
Sorry pple.. I don't mean to. We'll meet up soon,k? *promise!* =)

Back to the topic : XMAS! It's my fav time of the yr. Past xmas has been just about
clubbing but now tt don't mean anything. I can't comprehend why sm pple are still
so into clubbing and superficial.

Some pple wld knw what i am talking abt. Facades..It's all abt tt. Putting up a show
to look good and to impress...sometimes to even be someone u r not.

Now.. To me, family,loved ones and good frens are all tt are important compared to those
fleeting moments of glam and attention.
Geez.. kinda sounding like an anti-clubbing individual.
hahaha!!! =)

This Christmas, I spent it with my dearie and his family. His bro whipped up a really
fab meal for all of us and thanks to Jay for the red wine! It was niceee.... =)



Vivo was jammed packed with pple on Xmas Eve but thankfully we made reservation
@Modesto's.



Had a delicious dinner of pasta and calamari and was enjoying the waterview too.. =)
Afterwhich,we headed back hm for a nice quiet Xmas eve.



2006's coming to an end and i hope it's been a great yr for all.. =)

Till 2007......

Finally!!!

Last week was totally madness! I did OT till at least 10pm everyday from Mon - Fri ! 

Had so much work to do, irregular eating habits.. unhealthy lifestyle and lack of sleep..

Was extremely tired and weak by Thurs and almost fainted in the train.. 

Hmmm.. but i reckon it's just a matter of getting used to it.
It wld be like this at the start of every mth.. The job's interesting and fast-paced.

Made quite a few mistakes but i'm glad my team leader and colleagues are 
understanding and forgiving.

I will learn well from my mistakes and ensure tt i don't make the same mistakes again. =)

Throughout this bz period, I'm really glad tt my dearie has been really understanding 
and supportive, giving me encouragement and love.

Thank you, dear!! *muacksss....


Well,now it's the "low period".. not so bz.. 

I can spend more quality with my dearie, mum and good frens..

Thanks to many of my friends for being understanding tt i've been really bz of late.

Shopping + Great Food !!!!

It's been quite a while since I've wrote an entry. Been awfully busy with work and shopping on weekends.. Hahaha! Just got my 1st paycheck. =) *delighted*

Last weekend..

Last weekend, I've bought 3 flower skirts , a few plain skirts and tops.Retail therapy never fails to brighten up my day. =) Absolutely pleased with my purchases..

Met Eric on Sat along the way and we went to Genki Sushi @ Marina Sq. Been craving for sushi for long and i finally got to eat it. Beautiful lightings @Marina Sq atrium.







After a whole day of shopping, we went to Starbucks and had my fav Caramel Machito! Talked till 10+ abt life and the future... Hmm.... Saw The Amazing Race Clue Box outside Suntec - my all time fav reality TV show.

On Sunday, I treated Edwin and Ignatius to my fav pizza place (California Pizza Kitchen) and Haagen Dazs. Ordered Edwin and my fav Milan pizza and tried a new pizza (Chicken Chipotle).
Had alot of diff flavours of ice-cream after tt. So full! Sinfully good! =)







This weekend..

Went to collect my new Biopass passport with my dearie. Pretty nice. There's a microchip and antenna in it. They open @8 and i was there ard then but the q was insanely long! These pple stayed overnight outside the ICA building or something?! Madness!

After which, we headed to Harbourfront. Wanted to suntan but the weather was not on our side. Sadly, we hung ard Vivocity and waited for Ignatius to come down and join us to watch Flags of Our Father.

Heard there were some bad critics abt this film. The pple who thought it is bad have horrible taste. The movie was soooo good! It's not ur conventional war flim. I like the way it's filmed and taking into account diff pple's perspectives. =)

Met Rongyin and Sylvester after their movie @Vivo and went groceries shopping. They were going to make Mexican wraps for us. It was one of the best Mexican food i've ever tasted. They shld contemplate on opening a restaurant! They can cook pretty well..

After dinner, we put up the Christmas lights and deco. Christmas is ard the corner! Yipee! My fav festive season! =) In the festive mood now....



Thanks alot, guys! I had a great Sat and Liverpool thrashed Wigan by 4goals AWAY!! A round of applause for the entire team, esp. Bellamy(who finally redeemed himself and shut the critics up!),Kuyt and Gerrard! =)

Weekend...

Finally! I've finally been to Vivocity. It's gigantic man! Well,it's bigger than Taka but i dun think it is really bigger than Suntec..Maybe abt the same? Not too sure... Was more preoccupied in exploring the place & shopping ard..

The nice glistering flooring, big spacious shops and many fab brands! So many of my fav brands all under one roof! =) Had such a great time window shopping.

Pay's not in yet..can't exactly get anything.. Bummer! I've already shortlisted alot of stuff tt caught my eye.. My poor dear had to drag his feet and wake up so early in the morning to see the doc & shop ard with me. Thanks,baby! Ya da best! *hugs*

Tuesday...

Went for a run after coming back frm a long day at work. Totally refreshing! =) At last i could find some energy in me and time to log online to surf the web and do my blog.

Been listless these days. Still trying to cope with the working lifestyle. Things are still pretty alright,i reckon. Looking forward to my 1st paycheck this weekend...and it's shopping spreeeeeee time! Yipee~~~!!! Hahaha.....

Guess i'll stop typing now.. Gotta sleep early. A major client is coming down to the co for a meeting.. *yawns*

Slyvester's Bdae Chalet...

Well,this weekend's one slamming weekend! After a long and tiring week at work,analyzing clients' portfolios.. A chalet is just what i need to unwind and relax.

This chalet has been planned for quite a while now. It was to celebrate Sylvester's bdae. Rongyin (Sylvester's gf) planned this chalet discreetly..without Sylvester's knowledge. It's so sweet of her! =)

With the help of my dear, Ignatius, Edwin's mum and Jay, we've all managed to keep things under wraps. Planned everything down to the nitty gritty. =) They brought Sylvester to the chalet and told him tt there is a great chill out place there.

Then when they reached the chalet entrance, my dear,his younger bro and his mum shouted frm the chalet's 2nd storey and gave him a surprise.

He was in utter shock! Great surprise. He was pleasantly surprised, i wld imagine. I couldn't be there. Had to work. The chalet started on Thursday.I went only on Fri after work. Missed out a bunch of great food and fun but Fri was fab too.

Barbecued lotsa food. Had a delicious tiramisu cake and we all went bowling and played pool after wrapping up the barbecue. Or rather,Rongyin, Ignatius and Auntie bowled and we watched.


I had such a great time with my dear and his family. After pool,it was back to chalet for Winning 11! Hahaha! I didn't play. Was just a spectator. I reckon i was too tired to play. But everyone was a great sport and loadsa laughter. =)

Happy bdae, Slyvester! Hope u liked the surprise! =)

Slept overnight at the chalet and checked out on Sat morning. Made our way back to Edwin's place,unpacked,rested for a while and went to Chong Pang for lunch.The rest of the day was mainly resting and napping.. The weather was really good. Raining.. =)

When u start working,the weekends are what u look forward too. But u hate it when it comes to Sundays..coz u will think.. Darn..Back to work tmr. Contradicting eh? Well, everyone experiences tt. Tt's just part and parcel of life.

To my friends,hope u all have been doing well. I know i've not been online for a while coz i can't use MSN at work. For those who are still looking for jobs,hang in there. I'm sure things will look up soon. I have faith in u all! =) Jia you!

Sorry to those who msged me but i've not really been replying to,my apologies. And to Sarah and Ryan who has been asking me what i'm doing. I'm working as a Portfolio Analyst. Analyzing clients' portfolios,dealing with futures,bonds,FX,options & swaps related.. =)

A Long Week...

Blogging is becoming a weekly affair for me now. I'm moving up to speed at work now and there are heaps of things to be done and learnt @ work. Pretty enriching,i must say.

I am very green in this field and thus i've got endless queries. However,seeing my colleagues being swarmed by their own accounts, i try to handle the problems or situations i meet by myself as much as possible.

When they look less stressed up,then i will "bombard" them with my questions. It's vital to learn fast and remember all the important procedures. It's a really good learning platform.
I'm happy tt i took up this job.

On Thursday,i did OT till 10pm and had some problems trying to get a cab. And when i did,the taxi driver made the trip home unpleasant. His driving is horrible! The cab kept jerking! I was so listless after working for the whole day,feeling weak and his driving almost made me puke.. Bad experience...

Still contemplating which gym to join. Back to Cali(where i'm accustomed to) or Fitness First(which is in the same building as my workplace)? Seriously need to get back to fitness and shape. =)

It's such a delight to see my dearie after a hard day at work. Met Edwin dearie after work on Friday @ Cityhall for dinner and shopping. Bought some accessories..Finally! hahaha! My dearie wld say..."No More Accessories,pipi!" hee... =)

My mum bought me a satin top frm Bysi for me. I adore tt top. Soft and unique.. =)

Sat and Sun are slacking days. Many pple must be rushing down to Vivocity to shop and take a look. I've not been there yet. How pathetic right? Hahaha..Let the mad rush die down and I'll go. Don't really fancy shopping with crowds. Heard tons of good stuff abt it. Let's hope it's name precedes itself. =)

Hmm....Monday's tmr..Back to work. Back to learning and the intriguing work.... =)

The Long Awaited Weekend

Now i finally comprehend why working class pple always look forward to the weekend. A time for relaxation and rejuvenation. =)

Friday...

Met QM for lunch. He brought me to this place with nice duck rice but i ended up ordering chicken rice instead. I didn't knw tt they were well-known for their duck rice. Bummer! Never mind..there's always another chance. =)

The lunch crowd and long queue at the stall was insane! But it was real nice. We talked awhile after lunch about his job search. QM has not been himself lately. The incessant job search has gotten to him. I was kinda surprised to see him like tt.

He is one of optimism. Thus,sometimes even the more optimistic person,wld be affected by the lows and disappointments of life.

Cheer up,QM! Things will look up soon! =)

Saturday...

Went shopping again!! LOL! Had MOS Burger for lunch(haven't had it in ages!) but it ain't filling at all. Got some fruits at Far East Plaza and did some shopping there too. Wanted to expand my wardrobe for office clothes. But i couldn't seem to find anything at Far East tt i really faniced.

Ended up getting a white skirt for office from Bysi. This is soon becoming one of my fav stores! I love their flowery skirts. I will a few of those soon! And i can wear them on dress-down Friday and the week. =) Pay's gotta come in 1st!

Went back to Edwin's place. His mum is cooking prata and rendang curry today. It was sooooo tasty!

After tt,we watched the Liverpool vs Aston Villa match. The 99th successive time tt Rafa stuck to his rotation system. Rafa-tation! When is he going to cease and be sure abt his 1st XI? Arghz!

However, with goals frm Kuyt,Crouch & Garcia on Sat, the Reds are moving up the table. Max points! =) They wld have to improve on their devasting away form soon. Facing FC Bordeaux on Wed!

Sunday wld be a slack day. Watch dvd.Snack. Laze ard.

Monday..Start of work week.....................................................

1st Day @ Work + Fab Weekend

Went for shopping in town with my dearie!! =) Bought alot of diff food frm
Taka Foodcourt,tt's what we always do.. and bought ice-cream. The $1
ice-cream with peanuts frm the ice-cream vendor outside Taka. Yummy!

Bought a hairdryer,a pair of peep-toed heels and a pair of pants.
Expanding my wardrobe for work. LOL!

After tt,we headed down to Lower Pierce Reservoir to have "Zhi Cha" to
celebrate Eric's bdae. Eric treated us and he ordered so much food! *faints*
Eric,Weizhou,Colin,Louis,my dear and me later went to a cafe called Liquid
Cafe for some drinks and desserts.

Eric was in such a good mood tt he ordered 5 different slices of cakes! The
best and most sinful one was the dark chocolate fudge cake. Sinfully
delightful! *burps* =)

Hung out there for a couple of hours,cracking jokes,catching up and talking
abt politics and so many other stuff. Had a good laugh too. What a nice way
to spend a Sat.

No longer am i tt clubbing bunny i used to be.
Now,the facade,smoke and alcohol turns me off. I miss the dancing frm time
to time though. But i'm fine with tt..Wait till i'm a couple of mths into the job, i can
sign up for Cali again and join the dance ,aerobic and bodycombat classes! =)

Sunday...

Didn't do much.. Slept till ard 11 and woke up to wash my clothes. Tons of
them! Been lazy..LOL! After which,i made my way to Edwin's place and had
lunch.

We rented a couple of DVDs and only managed to watch one: XMen III coz' we
were all in anticipation of the big match! Man U vs Liverpool. Arch rivals
like for eternity. =)

Sadly,Liverpool lost. Benitez shld have played Crouch earlier. Sad. But..I'm
still a loyal Liverpool fan. We may be 11pts behing the leaders but..dun
write us off just like tt. We are not going down without a fight!

Monday...

Couldn't really fall asleep last night. Was tossing and turning in my bed.
Perhaps i was a lil anxious abt work. Dunno what to expect.

Started work today. Had alot of stuff to read up. Read up more abt the co
and an senior analyst coached me on my daily tasks and job.

Everything baffled me. Well,it was totally foreign to me but i am sure the
learning curve wld be a steep one. =) I guess tt's the most impt for a fresh
grad like me.

Be more receptive and keep an open mind. It may be tough but i am going
weather thru it. After much practice, i'm sure i'll do just fine.

The colleagues were real nice and friendly though. Tt's always a plus. The
washroom and the water cooler's near me too.. Hee....

Hols for a day tmr and back to work on Wed...
